The treaty of paris 1783
The treaty of Paris of 1783 was negotiated between the United States and Great Britain, recognising American Independance. The document was signed on September 3, 1783. Ending the 8 year war, known as the Revolutionary war. The treaty was signed by the three American negotiators, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and John Jay, and David Hartley, representing King George III. The treaty was signed at the historical Hotel d’York in Paris.
